Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the pressure difference between the interior and exterior of a heat transfer tube extending in a heater for heating a working medium, to decrease the stress of the heat transfer tube to make the temperature of the working medium higher than that in conventional cases, by pressurizing combustion gas in the heater.
CONSTITUTION: A working medium compressed by a medium gas compressor 1 is heated by a regenerative heat exchanger 5 and heated further by a heater 4 to rotate a gas turbine 2. The medium exhausted from the turbine 2 is returned to the compressor 1 through the regenerative heat exchanger 5 and an LNG evaporator 6. In the heater 4, fuel supplied from a burner 15 is burned with high-pressure air supplied from a high-pressure duct 14 so that the combustion gas flows through a combustion chamber and a contact heat transfer section as the pressure of the gas is remains high. The combustion gas heats a heat transfer tube 17. After that, the combustion gas is discharged from a duct 14. This results in reducing the stress of the heat transfer tube 17 to the maximum extent.
