Abstract

CONSTITUTION: On occasion of carrying out the anionic type electrodeposition painting of a material to be painted such as steel sheet, said material is cleaned by immersing in the aqueous solution which contains one or two kinds or more of alcohols such as ethanol, methanol or amines such as triethylamine, trimethylamine, at 5W40%, or by spraying, applying or wiping. Next, said material is dried immediately after rewashing with deionized water and anionic electrodeposition painting is applied. A coated film having superior appearance and luster not producing defects such as pin holes, projections, swollen part or discoloration of coated film is formed.
