Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify estimated adjusting operation as well as a plate cylinder exchange by a method wherein a gear box for a plate cylinder shaft of a rotary press is made possible to slide in an axial direction and besides the plate cylinder shaft and a driven wheel shaft are tied through a shaft coupling. CONSTITUTION:A driven wheel shaft 24 is connected to a plate cylinder 10 shaft 12 in each printing unit of a roatary press through a shaft coupling and at the same time a gear box 28 is put on a guide stand in such a way that it can slide in a shaft axis direction and a driving means is prepared, which makes the gear box 28 to perform the reciprocating motion in the shaft axis direction. Thereby the sideways estimated adjustment of printing paper, which is done by moving the plate cylinder 10 in an axial direction, can be easily achieved by making the gear box 28 to do the reciprocating motion in the axial direction and further the exchange of the plate cylinder 10 can be finished only by separating and uniting the shaft coupling 26 thus improving work.
