Abstract
PURPOSE: To uniformalize fluid distribution in the circumferential direction in a heat transmitting tube bundling section by a mechanism wherein a mixing section formed by porous plate type supporting structure is mounted to the uppermost section of the heat transmitting tube bundling section of a parallel flow type tubular heat exchanger, and an intermediate section is supported by means of multistage supporting metal fittings.
CONSTITUTION: The primary sodium flowing in from an inlet window 12 is rectified in the radial direction and the circumferential direction of the heat transfer tube bundles 9 by means of a mixing section A of the perforated plate type supporting structure 17 of the heat transfer tube bundles 9, fluid distribution is uniformalized, and the sodium flows out from holes 20 for the primary sodium flow paths of the perforated plate 18. The sodium passes on the outer surfaces of each heat transfer tube 21 of each tube bundle, which are equally distributed in the circumferential direction in space between the perforated plate supporting structure 17 and supporting metal-fitting structure 22 and divided by means of the supporting metal-fitting structure 22, and flows out from an outlet window 13 of an external shroud 10. The primary sodium exchanges heat with secondary sodium in the heat transfer tubes 21 during that time. Thus, the fluid distribution in the circumferential direction of the heat transfer tube bundles 9 can b uniformalized within a range of small-pressure drop.
