Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the collection of solar energy effectively in a short time by a system in which a plurality of flat plate-type collectors provided are switched to either parallel operation state or series operation state according to the temperature of hot water in a hot water storage tank. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of solar energy collectors 1 are connected to a heat exchanger 4 for heat collection purpose inside a hot water storage tank 3 through a piping 2, and hot water is circulated by a circulating pump 5. When a plurality (8 pieces, for example) of collectors 1a-1h are used, one motor-operated valve 11, when the temperature of a hot water storage tank 3 is low, is closed through a thermostat 8, and the other motor-operated valves 12 and 13 are opened. In the heat collection circuit constitution, two collectors are in serial 4-circuit parallel operation state. On the other hand, when the temperature of the hot water storage tank 3 reaches a certain temperature, the valve 11 is opened and the valves 12 and 13 are closed to make 4 collectors into 2-circuit parallel operation state.
