Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an arrangement for the gas combustor equipped with a gas- pressure controller in use of a diaphragm, which is capable of preventing occurrence of gas poisoning trouble or gas explosion due to unburnt gas leaked into the atmosphere in case that the diaphragm is damaged due to long use or by other reasons.
CONSTITUTION: The diaphragm 18 is fixed to the uppr end of a valve body 15 which is adapted for opening and closing a valve opening 14 of a gas-pressure controller 11, in the manner that it separates a gas passage 19 and a back-pressure chamber 20 from each other. This back-pressure chamber 20 is communicated to a gas combustion chamber 35 via a connecting pipe 34, but it is formed with no other port or clearance communicated to the atmosphere than that communicated to the connecting pipe 34. Such a gas-pressure controller can control the gas pressure by lifting or lowering the valve body 15 by the aid of a plunger 24 and the diaphragm 18 through control of the current supplied to an electromagnetic coil 25. With such an arrangement, if gas is leaked into back-pressure chamber 20 due to damage of diaphragm 18, the leaked gas is carried via pipe 34 to combustion chamber 35 and burnt therein. Therefore, it is enabled to prevent occurrence of a serious accident due to the leakage of gas.
