PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit which is low in distortion rate and high in SN ratio by extracting an AM-modulated signal as a carrier by applying an AM-modulated signal on the double side-band modulation system to a limiter and then by obtaining an AM-demodulated signal by supplying a multiplier with it and the original AM- modulated signal. CONSTITUTION:An AM-modulated signal on the double side-band modulation system is supplied to input terminal 1 and led to limiter 2 and multiplier 3. Limiter 2 suppresses upper and lower side-band waves to extract only a carrier, which is applied to multiplier 3, whose output is passed through low-pass filter 4 to send its output to output terminal 5 as a frequency-demodulation output. Consequently, the SN ratio is improved and even when the modulation degree is high, the AM synchronous detection circuit low in distortion ratio can be obtained and suitable for a receiver for AM stereophonic broadcasting.
