Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the quality of the voice to be demodulated and reproduced, by adding the pre-emphasis circuit and the deemphasis circuit to the digital modulator and the digital demodulator at the transmission and reception sides. CONSTITUTION:The high-band component is emphasized through the pre-emphasis circuit 11 for the input signal e.g. the voice signal led to the input terminal 1 at the transmission side 10. This voice signal is then converted into the digital signal by the digital modulator 12 to be transmitted to the transmission line 3 through the output terminal 2. The digital signal transmitted to the input terminal 4 at the reception side 20 from the transmission side 10 via the line 3 is converted into the analog signal through the digital demodulator 21 and then demodulated. The low- band component is emphasized for the demodulated signal at the deemphasis circuit 22. Thus the emphasized signal is extracted at the output terminal 5 in the form the reproduced signal.
