Abstract
PURPOSE:To easily apply a compensation autotransformer to an existing autotransformer by a method wherein a compensation autotransformer consisting of a shunt winding and a series winding having taps is installed and the shunt winding thereof is connected in parallel to a tertiary winding. CONSTITUTION:An autotransformer consists of a series winding 1, a shunt winding 2, tap windings 3 connected in series to each winding and a tertiary winding 8 connected magnetically to each winding. Independently from this, a compensation autotransformer 21 consisting of a shunt winding 22 and a series winding 23 having taps is added thereto. And shunt winding terminals 24, 25 are connected to tertiary winding terminals 9, 10 and a series winding terminal 27 is pulled out of a tap of the series winding 23. At this time, when operation is performed so that the voltage of the tertiary winding 8 may become high, an inverse polarity against the induced voltage of the tertiary winding 8 is added by means of the compensation autotransformer 21. And further, when operation is performed so that a voltage may be low, a tap switching device 26 can be installed so that a same polarity may be applied and the volage variation in conjunction with the switching of taps of the tertiary winding 8 can be compensated.
