Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a photosensitive resin composition hardening at a high speed, simplifying the washing-out of the unexposed part after hardening and giving a hardened resin of superior quality by blending a ring-opened polymer of a norbornane deriv. having a polar substituent with polythiol.
CONSTITUTION: This composition consists of a polymer contg. units represented by formula I (where each of X and Y is H, ester, amido, nitrile, imido, carboxyl, halogen or the like) and a compound having two or more thiol groups in the molecule. The polymer is obtd. by homo- or copolymerizing a norbornane deriv. represented by formula II. The polythiols used include the esterification product of mercaptocarboxylic acid and polyol and the reaction product of diglycidyl ether and hydrogen sulfide.
