Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the durability of an elastic tube, by setting a driven arm free when a preceding press roller comes near to a point where opening of the elastic tube is started, by means of a stationary cam member fixed to the inner surface of a cylindrical drum, force transmitting rods and driven rollers.
CONSTITUTION: A stationary cam member 18 is fixed to the inner surface of a cylindrical drum 1. By the cam member 18, force transmitting rods 21 are moved radially of the cylindrical drum 1, so that the first and second driving rollers 24, 27, 25, 28 are moved into and away from the part defined between front ends S1, S3 of driving arms 5, 6 and rear ends S2, S4 of driven arms 8, 9. With such an arrangement, when a preceding press roller 10 comes near to a point E where opening of the elastic tube 2 is started, the preceding press roller 10 can be set free to make the pressure in a confined section V equal to that on the outlet side D. Therefore, it is enabled to eliminate back-flow of fluid from the outlet side D to section V and hence to increase durability of the elastic tube.
