Abstract

PURPOSE:To readily manufacture a rubber plastic magnet having excellent magnetic characteristics by treating specific metals under specific condition and pulverizing the treated metals. CONSTITUTION:Water is added and kneaded to a mixture of iron oxide (Fe2O3) containing substantially no impurity and barium, strontium or lead compound as carbonate, the mixture is then calcined at a temperature higher than approx. 2,000 deg.C and a sintered magnet bite is thus produced. This sintered bite is roughly pulverized, approx. 0.1-10wt% of 1-3C lower alcohol is added to the pulverized sintered bite with the roughly pulverized powder as a reference, the mixture is further pulverized by a ball mill or the like, and finely pulverized powder having approx. 1.00-1.50m of average particle diameter measured by a Fisher subsieve sizing for the powder and approx. 3.30-3.55g/cm<3> of compression density compressed by the pressure of 1ton/cm<2> is obtained. The powder is moreover annealed at raised temperature, thereby equalizing the finely pulverized particle size. This finely pulverized powder is kneaded with rubber or plastic base and is moled while applying magnetic field thereto for readily manufacturing rubber plastic magnets in mass production.
