Abstract

PURPOSE: To lessen the weight of a roof weighing on a house and to perform effective heat collection, by the heat collector that comprises a required number of units to be laid in a plain as parts of tiles.
CONSTITUTION: In upper and lower ends of the heat collector body 1 having a molded reservoir portion 4 in concave shape are provided with a water inlet 2 and a water outlet 3, respectively, and the water outlet 3 is insertable into a water inlet 2 of other adjacent downstream unit. The unit includes a transparent member 5 of glass or the like fitted on the upper surface of the body 1. A plurality of such units are connected watertightly and arranged on a roof or the like in order to serve as parts of tiles. In this case, the outlets 3 of the lowermost units each is fitted to a receiving port 7 of a guide pipe 6, so that the hot water can be collected and led to a controlling box. The guide pipe 6 is provided with a series of discharge ports 8 that can closed by ball valves 9, so that if earthequake or the like occurs, a support member 11 is moved in one direction to discharge the water in the heat collectors in one stroke to prevent the building from collapsing.
