Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable an easy mass-production of a transmission screen by forming an organic-colloid adsorbing film on a glass base-plate by a printing technique, applying a fluorescent-body solution to the organic-colloid adsorbing film to make it adsorb the fluorescent body, removing the fluorescent body which is unnecessary by washing it, drying the organic-colloid adsorbing film, and repeating the same process as mentioned above to form a mosaic membrane on the base plate before sintering the mosaic membrane. CONSTITUTION:An organic-colloid adsorbing film made of a photosensitive polyvinylalcohol or the like is formed on a glass base-plate on which a mosaic fluorescent membrane is provided, by a printing technique or the like. A solution in which a fluorescent body is dispersed is applied to the organic-colloid adsorbing film to be adsorbed in it. After that, this film is subjected to exposure, and is rendered insoluble to lose its adsorbing ability. The same process as mentioned above is repeated with the second and the third fluorescent body to obtain a fluorescent mosaic membrane, which is sintered to make a screen. Through the means mentioned above, a transmission screen can be mass-produced easily.
