Abstract
PURPOSE: To decrease the uninspected area of tip and rear ends of material to be inspected having a polygonal section and also, and to enable to automatically follow the alteration such as a bend of the material to be inspected.
CONSTITUTION: Two probe holders 14 having a probe 2 for flaw inspection within, are stood opposite each other for a linear symmetrical axis of section of a material to be inspected 1 and also, are provided so as to face adjoining sides of the material 1 each other. Besides, a shoe 15 is provided so as to keep constant the distance between the material 1 and probe in the holder and is capable of following the undulation of the material 1. Now, when the material 1 is moved to an arrow mark direction J and the gap between the material 1 and a block 21 including the probe and shoe, grow larger, all force F0 transmitted from a going up and down apparatus 18 to a saddle 17 are received by a block 22 and a reaction forces F1 is received from the material 1. When a component force F3 is larger than the friction force of a guide roller 19 with a guide 20, the block is moved to an arrow mark direction H and is stopped at the state of receiving both blocks 21, 22 a uniform force. Further, only 23 is uninspected area compared with the case of having the usual roll because of providing with the shoe and the unispected area is decreased.
