Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the shutting out property against the vibration noise by exercising a pre-compression in the direction which is directed facing and opposite to a normal load, by applying to a linear area, and by utilizing a nonlinear area, by a method wherein a rubber stopper is brought into contact with a cylindrical member before the normal load is applied. CONSTITUTION:The vibration-proof bush 10 is pressed into a collar 5 for mating with each other, and with a lower stopper part 18 brought into press contact with the collar 5, a pre-compression F is excercised on a rubber substance 13 in the direction which is directed facing and opposite to a normal load P. After said vibration-proof bush 10 is matched with the collar 5, a shaft is inserted into an inner cylinder 12, and the normal load P is absorbed through a deformation of the rubber substance 13 and the pre-compression F, whereby the inner cylinder 12 and the collar 5 are set at a concentric position. The load P is set optionally in accordance with a change in the pre-compression F according to a selection of a protruding amount of the stopper part 18.
