Abstract
PURPOSE: To adjust the spectral characteristic with a simple constitution and prevent overheat, by providing an adjusting material, which adjusts the spectral characteristic of the light from the light source, between the light source and the original.
CONSTITUTION: Filter 4 is provided between light source 2 and original 6. In this filter 4, adjusting layer 11 formed with four layers of dielectric thin films is formed of the upper face of substrate 10 consisting of transparent materials such as glass, and heat ray reflecting layer 12 formed with four layers of dielectric thin films is formed on the lower face of substrate 10. In respect to adjusting 11, MgF2 and TiO2 are laminated alternately from the substrate 10 side into four layers to lower the red light quantity of the long wave length region from approximately 600nm. Meanwhile, in respect to heat ray reflecting layer 12, MgF2 and TiO2 are laminated alternately from the substrate 10 side into four layers to lower the light quantity of heat rays of the long wave length region from approximately 900nm. By this constitution, the light which passed through filter 4 causes the spectral characteristic of the copying machine to approach the relative visibility curve, so that overheat of original stand glass 5 can be prevented.
