Abstract

PURPOSE: To arrange so that selective distribution and stowage into plural containers may be carried out, by providing distribution conveyor in the manner stride a stowing conveyor equipped with bottom-opened trough through which granular items are distributed and stowed into the containers.
CONSTITUTION: Distribution conveyor 3 is provided in the manner to stride a stowing conveyor 2, 2 having horizontal trough 2a opened at the bottom. One or more than one openings 3C are provided at the bottom of the horizontal trough 3a of a distribution conveyor 3 which strides the stowing conveyors. For instance, in case a granular item is to be stowed in the container 1 located at an upper position and if conveyor 3 is driven at the same time with either one of the conveyors 2 the granular item fed to the conveyor 3 is transferred by the movement of a flight 3b through the inside of the trough 3a, and drops down through the opening 3c at the position of the conveyor 2. Then granular item is stowed into the container, its tip being leveled by the flight 2b. If the container is full, the drive is automatically switched to the next stowing conveyor.
