Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid track-jump, by controlling mechanical position of magnetic head to magnetic tape, through the phase measurement of a reproduced video signal to the rotating phase of a video head. CONSTITUTION:Video heads 1, 2 are respectively fitted to the tip being a free end of electromechanical converting elements 21, 22. Another end of electromechanical converting elements 21, 22 is fitted to a rotating video disc 4, and a magnet 3 for rotating phase detection of the video heads 1, 2 and a phase detector 5 are respectively provided at the disc 4 and the fixed part side. By measuring points between a point showing the rotating phase of video heads, e.g., switching point of the video heads, and a point showing the phase of a reproduced video signal, for example, the time for a vertical synchronizing signal, it is judged whether a desired track is scanned or an adjacent track is scanned for the control, allowing to avoid track- jump.
