Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the damage of magnetic tape due to malfunction, by giving signal to the control unit of magnetic recording and reproducing unit, when the cassette holder is at loading position of the magnetic recording and reproducing unit and only when the latch member of holder is shifted to the latch position. CONSTITUTION:The nail 54 of the latch lever 48 of the cassette holder 35 is in contact with the tip 56 of the said lever 38, and turning toward counterclockwise is restricted with the said lever 38 for the said lever 48. Further, the switch 58 is provided near one end of the lever 48 and switched to ON when the lever remarkably turns counterclockwise. Further when the cassette holder 35 reaches the second position, the lever 48 turns counterclockwise to switch the said switch to ON. Thus, since the said switch is operated only when the cassette holder is perfectly loaded, no damage is given to the magnetic tape.
