Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a developer liquid superior in stability for elapse, by using concentrated toner obtained by dissolving a soluble resin in a small quantity of the solvent used as the liquid developer and adding and polymerizing the material, where a coloring agent is dispersed in the monomer which becomes unsoluble for the solvent by polymerization, in this solvent.
CONSTITUTION: A soluble resin [the linseed oil modified alkyd resin, the (co) polymer of high-class ester of (metha) acrylic acid, and so on] is dissolved in a small quantity of aliphatic hydrocarbon used as the liquid developer and is heated. Meanwhile, the material is prepared where the coloring agnet (carbon black, dye, pigment, and so on) unsoluble for the said solvent as well as the monomer below is dispersed in the monomer of (metha) acrylic acid low-class ester and so on which is soluble for the said solvent and becomes unsoluble due to polymerzation. The material where the polymerization catalyst is added to the monomer with the coloring agent dispersed is added into the said resin solution and is polymerized to obtained an concentrated toner where particles with coloring agent particles coverted with the resin are dispersed. This concentrated toner is dispersed into a large quantity of the said solvent to obtain a liquid developer adapted to offset printing specially.
