Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a sharp MW-distribution polymer in a high catalyst efficiency, by carrying out the solution-polymerization by use of an organic Al compound and catalyst component prepared by contacting the reaction product between a specified organic Mg compound and a specific Al compound with a Ti or V compound.
CONSTITUTION: An olefin or an α-olefin or diolefin containing ethylene is solution- polymerized at a temperature higher than 120°C by use of an organic Al compound and a catalyst component prepared by contacting a Ti or V compound with the reaction product between a hydrocarbon-soluble organic Mg compound represented by formula I, wherein M is a Group IWIII metal atom; α, p, q, r and s are numbers equal to or greater than 0; p+q+r+s=mα+2; 0<(r+s)/(α+1)≤1.5; m is a valence of M and R1 and R2 are the same or different C1W20 hydrocarbon groups or O, N or S-containing negative groups, and an Al compound represented by formula II, wherein X3 is alkoxyl, siloxyl, aryloxy, amino, amide, imide or alkylthio; Y is a halogen; 0<x<3; 0<y<3 and x+y=3.
