Abstract

PURPOSE: To make possible easy production of parts such as connecting-rods of large differences in sectional shapes by preworking a bar-shaped blank material by means of forging rolls then forming the same with a press provided with plural working dies.
CONSTITUTION: A bar-shaped blank material B is fed by means of feed rollers 1, and is heated by heaters 2, after which it is preworked by means of forging rolls 3. Next, it is sent into a press 4 provided with plural working dies 51W53 and are sent successively from the 1st working die 51 to the 2nd, 3rd working dies 52, 53 to be finally formed to a predetermined shape. Finally it is cut by a cutting machine 7, whereby the product A such as connecting-rod of large differences in sectional shapes is produced. With this method, plural conveyors for preventing forming deviations, inpress conveyor and loading device are not required and simple equipment can do.
