Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit high speed cut-off of a flow passage and enable a large apparatus to be constituted by applying high pressure air onto a piston at all times and releasing the determent of lowering of the piston when rapid cut-off is necessary.
CONSTITUTION: In ordinary times, a valve plug 6 is raised and a flow passage 2 is perfectly open, and the valve plug 6 is kept at the elevation position against the pressure of the high pressure air applied onto a piston 3 through the engagement between the jaw part 11a of a lever 11 and the undersurface of the head part 8a. When a rapid cut-off signal is generated, the valve 6 in an air feeding pipe 12a is opened due to said signal, and into an air cylinder 12, the air pressure in the direction to retreat the piston 3 is applied, and the lever 11 is driven in the separating direction, and the jaw part 11a is separated from the under surface of the head part 8a, then the piston 3 lowers rapidly due to the pressure of the high pressure air which is applied to the piston 3, and the valve plug 6 cuts off the passage 2 rapidly.
