Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the reduction in an engine output and the worsening of exhaust gas, by a method wherein a lag in an ignition time is detected at a given operation time of an engine, and the ignition time is corrected so as to match a ignition time with a regular ignition time according to said detecting memory output.
CONSTITUTION: An ignition signal, having a lead angle characteristic, leading by a prescribed angle is generated by means of a ignition signal generator 1. A reference signal position by means of a reference signal generator 2. A delay ignition signal, which is obtained by delaying an ignition signal at a given operation time (idling time), and the reference signal are inputted to a phase angle detector 4, where the ignition time is corrected to a regular time by controlling a delay amount of the ignition signal so that both phases coincide with each other. In addition, correction is performed also at an ordinary operation time according to a control amount memorized by means of a memory 7.
