Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a biaxially stretched polyamide film which is provided with a specific crystallinity, a specific crystalline size and a specific refraction index, large in vapor permeability and excellent in water absorbing dimension stability. CONSTITUTION:In order to obtain a vertical uniaxial stretched film in which the crystallinities of crystals excepting alpha type one show 50-80% of the total crystallinity, a nonoriented cost film obtained when polyamide such as nylon 6 and the like is fused and extruded is stretched at a high speed under a stretching magnification OB corresponding to a point A showing the same stretching tension OC as a stretching yield point Y so that the yield point Y may appear and at 80% or more of the stretching magnification OB. Then, the film is stretched preferably 3-6 times in a width direction and undergoes a primary heat treatment at 120-180 deg.C. Subsequently, the biaxially oriented film is stretched again in a longitudinal direction, so that a general vertical stretching magnification may have preferably 3-6 times at 125- 185 deg.C in order to obtain the purposed polyamide film in which the crystallinities of crystals excepting the alpha type one show 10% or less and the crystalline size of the alpha type crystal takes 60Angstrom or less.
