Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a coating material from being repelled by a method wherein many minor cracks are densely formed so that they reach just enough a porous boby beneath a thin coated layer on the extruded synthetic wood of foamed resin thereby allowing the coating material to be impregnated and solidified.
CONSTITUTION: By using rotary brushes 9a, 9b, etc., numerous minor cracks 4 are formed on the surface 2 to be coated of the extruded synthetic wood 1. Its rear face 3 is left with a thin coated layer so as to provide a decorative effect. A coating material P, when coated, permeates through the minor cracks 4 to reach the thin layer 5 and forms anchor portions K. In the space among the anchor portions K, the coating material P is held by its viscosity and thus is allowed to be coated on the surface 2. When the coating material P is solidified, it keeps the states of the anchor portions K impregnated in the minor cracks 4 and bubble holes 8. Thus, peeling of the coated layer is hardly to occur.
