Abstract
PURPOSE: To make volume production of condenser lenses of large sizes, light weight and homogeneous quality by combining a pair of linear Fresnel lenses in the state that their grooves cross mutually.
CONSTITUTION: When linear Fresnel lenses are so combined that their grooves mutually cross, one sheet acts as a back face lens in the state that two sheets of said lenses are opposing to each other with a certain degree. Hence, when the size of one of one sheet of the quadrisected lenses is assumed to be the maximum size that can be produced, the manufacture of the condenser lens having the aperture at least twice that of said lens and a quadruple condensing area is made possible. If from this the area or number of lens matrix is defined as X and the condensing area of the lens obtainable with one piece of matrix as Y, it becomes Y=(2X)2. Thereby, the condenser lenses of large sizes, light weight and homogeneous quality may be voluminously provided easily.
