Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a deep-drawn container having an uniform thickness, by a method wherein a molten material from an extruder is molded into a cylinder with a bottom by means of a preliminary molder, and with this the material is blow- molded by an extruding lever. CONSTITUTION:A battery jar or other deep drawn containers, in which depth is times as long as a bore thereof, is molded in an uniform thickness without the use of a hydraulic servo or other expensive extrusion control devices. For said molding, an extruder 1 extruding a molten material, a pair of molds 2 which can freely open and close, and a preliminary molder 3 molding a cylinder with a bottom, are adopted. The preliminary molder 3 consists of a cylinder 3a, a cylindrical extrusion lever 3b, whose end in the cylinder can be freely inserted into the molds 2 and which has vent holds 4, and a swing plate 3c positioned at an opening portion at a lower end of the cylinder. The molten material is pre-molded into a cylinder with a bottom in a preliminary molding chamber which is formed with the cylinder, the extrusion lever, and the swing plate, and so pre-molded material is fed into the molds 2 for blow-molding.
