Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the improved color aberration correcting method by designing the focusing type transmission body based on the rays of short wavelengths and so constituting the same that the rays of long wavelengths which do not become detrimental to imaging are utilized by using the special refractive flat plate.
CONSTITUTION: A flat plate 9 which is provided with protrusions in the position opposing to the exit end face side of a light transmission body 5 and has a high refractive index is disposed by leaving a fixed spacing. As a result of this, long wavelength 3 emitted from the outside of the end face is reflected by the protrusion 8 and the short wavelength 4 passes the inside of the flat plate 9 and emits thereform, thereby correctly imaging on an image point 7. The most of the rays of the long wavelength 3 may be removed by total reflection. The protrusions 8 of the flat plate 9 may be of triangle pyramid form or depression other than semispherical form. In this way, the color aberrations owing to the difference in wavelength are corrected and the long wavelengths which have not so much deviation in phase are utilized and may be contributed to imaging action, thus the improved color aberration correction method may be obtained.
