Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide quicker responsibility for the fuel injection control and improve an acceleration performance of an engine by properly determining a fuel injection timing on a cylinder basis in order to rapidly suck an injected fuel into a combustion chamber.
CONSTITUTION: Based on signals from a rotation speed sensor 18, an air flow meter 6, and signal oscillators 19, 20, a control unit drives to open or close injectors 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, and 3f via respectively associated driving circuits 21a, 21b,.... In the concrete, a proper valve opening period corrected according to an engine temperature is found by counting a basic value of the valve opening period of each injector in proportion to a value obtained by dividing a suction air flow rate by a rotation speed. Said counting is performed on the basis of signals of the rotation speed sensor 18 and the air flow meter 6. On the other hand, determining a proper valve timing may be performed on the basis of signals of the signal oscillators 19, 20 or other factors.
