Abstract

PURPOSE:To make a fuel cell absorbable of volume expansion of an electrolyte within the cell by providing an electrolyte storage linked to the open end of the tip penetratable to an electrode provided on a part of a projection in a battery frame to collect. CONSTITUTION:A recess forming a fuel chamber 6 or an oxidizing agent chamber 7, and projection touching to a negative electrode 2 or positive electrode 3, and additionally a projection 41 having a tip which is higher and more sharp than that of said projection are provided on a battery frame 4 of a carbon plate. An open end 42 is provided on the tip, and the open end 42 is linked to a thin hole 43 provided in the battery frame 4 to form an electrolyte storage. When a battery is fabricated the normal projection is made to touch to the negative electrode 2 or positive electrode 3, and the porjection with a sharp tip penetrates to the negative electrode 2 or positive electrode 3 due to the sharpness of the tip.
