Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain to miniaturize the titled apparatus and to enhance the decomposition ratio to a large extent by arranging an HI decomposition and separation part having an H2 take-out port having a decomposition and separation membrane for separating H2 assembled therein, a condensation chamber of other components, a separation part provided with a take-out port and a recirculation system of undecom posed HI.
CONSTITUTION: In the titled apparatus, the HI decomposition and separation part 6 having the deomposition and separation membrane 7 for decomposing hydrogen iodide thermochemically and separating formed hydrogen assembled in an interior thereof and having the H2 take-out port 8 and the separation part 5 of other components comminucated therewith are arranged to constitute said apparatus as well as the separation part 5 is constituted from a condensation chamber for condensing I and water vapor from a mixed gas after H2 is separated therefrom, a take-out port for taking out decomposed I and water vapor separately and a line for recirculating undecomposed HI to the decomposition and separation part 6. By the above described constitution, because the decomposition and the separation of H2 are carried out simultaneously, the decomposition ratio of HI is enhanced as well as an apparatus can be miniaturized.
