CONSTITUTION:The optical output of a light emitting diode 2 is transmitted to an optical transmission line 3. A part of the optical output is in photoelectric conversion with a pin diode 4 for monitor to control the driving signal of a driving circuit 5. Further, the temperature characteristics of photoelectric conversion element 4 for monitor are selected almost the same as those of photoelectric conversion element 6 for reception, then allowing to decrease the characteristic variation due to the temperature change in the optical transmission system.
