Abstract

PURPOSE:To control an indicating device in a digital manner and constitute the same in a compact form by a method wherein the rotational speed of a deflecting coil is increased or decreased and thereby the phase of the deflecting coil is controlled in relation to the phase of a wave-transmitting and receiving apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An antenna 11 emits a detection pulse and sends a reflection signal in the luminance modulating terminal of CRT14. The deflecting coil 15 is driven by a pulse motor 16. Here, a ship is assumed to be steaming toward due north. A reversible counter 26 is set so that a value of zero is stored. A bow direction synchronizer 17 sets the value of zero in the reversible counter 18 when the phases of the deflecting coil 15 and the antenna 11 accord with each other, and, therefore, a bow direction marker is indicated in the position of twelve o'clock at an indicator. As a result, 360 pulses per one rotation of the antenna 11 generated by a driving pulse generator 20 are sent out to the motor 16 and the deflecting coil 15 is rotated in synchronization with the antenna 11. The bow direction marker and a return wave are indicated respectively. By such a constitution, the indicating device can be controlled in a digital manner and also can be formed to be compact.
