Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare a granular pesticide having arbitrarily controllable disintegrability in water and diffusibility of the effective component, and excellent ratainability of the component, by combining granular carrier obtained by granulating a mixture of a light-weight spherular gypsum and/or fibrous gypsum each having specific crystal form and water, etc., and the effective pesticide component.
CONSTITUTION: A granular pesticide is prepared by compounding (A) granular carrier obtained by granulating a mixture of (a) fibrous gypsum and/or light-weight spherular gypsum derived from fibrous gypsum and (b) water or water and a binder, and (B) the effective pesticide component. The light-weight spherular gypsum is a soluble or insoluble anhydrous gypsum having diameters of 50μW2mm and a bulk density of 0.03W0.5g/cm3, and obtained by heating an aqueous slurry of gypsum dihydrate or a mixture of gypsum dihydrate at 100W180°C until spherular gypsum is formed, and drying or calcining the spherular α-type gypsum hemihydrate or gypsum hemihydrate. The fibrous gypsum is α-type gypsum hemihydrate or gypsum anhydride having a fiber length of 10W5,000μ.
