Abstract

PURPOSE:To bake water-containing material at a high heat efficiency by charging a water-containing material into a kiln after mixed with dust to pelletize by means of a kneader, a pelletizer and a dryer provided between a material feeder and the kiln. CONSTITUTION:In baking a water-containing material such as magnesia clinker, a kneader 11, a pelletizer 12 and a dryer 3 for utilizing waste heat from the kiln 3 are provided between filter 1 and the kiln 3. A recovered dust from a dust collector 14 and an electrical dust collector 6 is added to a cakelike material from the filter 1 in a kneader 11 at the fixed ratio to reduce the water content. After pelletization, it is dried by a heat exchange with an exhaust gas from the kiln and then sent to the kiln. In this manner, the water-containing material is baked at a heat efficiency while conserving fuel.
