Abstract
PURPOSE:To produce a small-size ultrasonic probe, by a structure where a concave for lead wire is provided in the backing material. CONSTITUTION:Plural concaves 9 for lead wires and concaves 10 for lead wire taking-out are provided on face 8 of backing material 7 where a vibrator should be stuck, and these concaves 9 and 10 are filled up with conductive materials for lead wires. When the vibrator is stuck to face 8, lower electrodes of the vibrator can be connected to load line parts of concaves 9 simply. Consequently, lead wires can be small by reducing concaves 9 and 10, and as the result, the vibrator can be small. Further, since connection between lead wires and lower electrodes of the vibrator is simple even if lead wires and the vibrator are made small, a small-size ultrasonic probe can be formed.
