CONSTITUTION:The three primary color signals ER, EG and EB obtained from the negative film of the camera main body are applied to the inverting circuits 21-R, 21-G and 21-B corresponding to each of the three primary color signals. In this case, the color signal of the ordinary negative film becomes linear or bluish as a whole through just inversion of the polarity. In this connection, the DC level is converted by the clamping circuits 22-R, 22-G and 22-B each. Then each color signal is applied for compensation to the gamma compensating circuits 23-R, 23-G and 23-B each in order to secure a fitness between the gamma property of the negative film and that of the image pickup tube and the picture receiver.
