Abstract

PURPOSE:To regasify a liquefied natural gas while collecting the coldness of the liquefied natural gas by heating a high pressure thermomedium mixture and cooling a low pressure thermomedium mixture. CONSTITUTION:As thermomedium mixture is used a hydrocarbon mixture with carbon number 1-6 containing nitrogen or hydrogen or a hydrocarbon haloid with a boiling point approximate to the above-mentioned hydrocarbon, mixed with nitrogen, prepared in such a way that the refrigeration curve is approximately identical to the evaporation curve of the intended liquefied natural gas with minimum temperature difference. The liquefied natural gas fed out of a storage facility 7 undergoes heat exchange at Line (a) in a multifluid heat exchanger 1 with a low pressure thermomedium mixture in Line (c) and heated thereby. A low pressure thermomedium mixture cooled and liquefied in Line (c) is boosted by a pump 5, heated in Line (b) and gasified at a heat exchanger 2. The pressure of this gas is reduced by applying power to a turbine 3, and the gas is returned to the multifluid heat exchanger 1 to be used again as low pressure thermomedium mixture.
