Abstract
PURPOSE:To control a load connected to a terminal equipment in fail-safe mode at the time of a fault, by providing the terminal equipment with an additional fail-safe function. CONSTITUTION:As a transmitted signal from main console panel 11 is sent via transmission line 13, terminal equipments 15a-15d discriminate a transmitted signal that agrees with a preset address and are placed in control mode, e.g. full-lighting, stepped-dimming, continuous-dimming, or turning-off mode, according to a control signal. According to this control mode, lighting loads 17a-17k equipped with dimmers 16a-16f are controlled. For example, when a fault of main operation room 11 or breaking of transmission line 13 disallows the normal transmitted signal to be sent to terminal equipment 15b, terminal equipment 15b generates a fail-safe output to bring lighting loads 17e-17h under stepped-dimming control forcibly. If terminal equipment 15b itself runs into trouble, light loads 17e-17h are brought under stepped-dimming control. Thus, loads can be controlled in fail-safe mode.
