Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate influence of interference light from a specimen-atomizing device, by impressing atomic steam onto magnetic field and also by analyzing element by measuring time variation in amount of magnetic movement at the time when strength of light applied to the atomic steam is changed. CONSTITUTION:A burner chamber 4, which is a specimen-atomizing unit, is supplied with fuel gas and auxiliary fuel gas through a gas inlet 6 and an auxiliary gas inlet 5. The burner chamber 4 is provided in its inside with an atomizing device, and by supplying this device with auxiliary fuel gas, a specimen 3 for analysis is sucked up, atomized and introduced into flame 7. The flame 7 is provided with magnets 8 and 9, and a static magnetic field of 4-15kG level is impressed onto atomic vapor in the flame 7. A light source 10 radiates light having the same wave length as that of a resonant absorption wire of the atomic vapor, and it is connected and disconnected by a rotary sector 12 having plural openings in circumferential direction, and after the light is collected by a lens 11, it is applied to the flame 7.
