Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic head capable of making a magnetic latent image in a short time and easy to produce by a method wherein electric currents of different directions are applied selectively to each lead wire of a magnetic head and a recording magnetic field is impressed selectively on a magnetic recording material.
CONSTITUTION: When a downward current is applied to a lead wire A in the figure and an upward current is applied to a lead wire B in the figure, a magnetic field is concentrated to a main magnetic pole 7 facing a grid zone (a) made up by these lead wires A, B, E, F and a vertical magnetizing membrane portion 10 on this main magnetic pole 7 is magnetized. Then, when a downward current is applied to the lead wire B in the figure, the magnetic field is concentrated to the main magnetic pole 7 facing a zone (b) made up by lead wires B, C, E, F and the vertical magnetizing membrane portion 10 on this main magnetic pole 7 is magnetized. In like manner, when a downward current to a lead wire C in the figure and an upward current to a lead wire D in the figure are applied respectively, the vertical magnetizing membrane portion 10 on the main magnetic pole 7 facing a zone (c) is magnetized.
