Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable forming of a side wall of a deep container and besides to enable using of an upper part of a deep container as a cover as well, by a method wherein a thermoplastic resin film or sheet, which serves to form a side wall of a container molded by means of a male and female mold, a is partially stretched without bringing the film into contact with the molds.
CONSTITUTION: After a thermoplastic resin film material 1 is press-molded in the first molding process by means of a female mold A, a male mold B, and a clamping mechanism C, either one or both of the female and male molds, subsequently or after a momentary stop, are rapidly moved in the direction of the female mold, and the thermoplastic resin film or sheet, which serves to form one or both of a side wall 11 and bottom portion 12 of a container 10, is partially stretched without bringing the film into contact with the molds for molding the container. Said molding can be performed by a vacuum molding method in addition to said compression-molding method. A side wall 11 of the container 10 can serve to form a side wall of a deep container, and additionally, the container 10 can be formed into a container whose upper portion is tied up with a string 20. As noted above, variety of containers can be produced.
