Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable the operation of a dynamic brake to reduce the load of an air brake at the time of service interruption by a method wherein a relay operating by a voltage detector of the electric line of tramway and a relay detecting the speed sufficient enough to operate the dynamic brake are added. CONSTITUTION:A hynamic brake device consisting of a brake resistor 6 and a chopper 7, and an air brake device are provided for a train driving electric motor 1, and is controlled according to a prescribed brake pattern using an electropneumatic computer 12. A relay 16 detecting the speed sufficient enought to make the dynamic brake to operate and a relay 18 are added respectively to a speed detector 15 and a voltage detector 17, and contacts of those relays are inserted in ther input side of a chopper device 13. Therefore when a contact 18a becomes off-state on account of the service interruption, a contact 16a holds on-state to enable the operation of the dynamic brake as same as the normal time, and an air brake 14 is operated after the reduction of speed, so that the abrasion of the brake shoe can be reduced.
