Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure a measurement of temperature with high sensitivity and high accuracy, by leading the light of the object to receive a measurement of temperature through the optical fiber to be modulated by the chopper and then made to pass through the liquid absorbing cell and then detecting the elastic wave caused by the selective absorption by the pressure detector to obtain the temperature of the object to receive a measurement of temperature. CONSTITUTION:The light from the object 1 to receive a measurement of temperature is led through the optical fiber 10 to be divided into two optical paths and then projected on the liquid cells 13 and 13a after modulated by the choppers 11 and 11a. The cells 13 and 13a are filled with the liquid having different absorbing wavelengths each. Thus the electric output corresponding to the light intensity absorbed in each wavelength is obtained through the voltage transducers 15 and 15a each. Each output is then processed through the signal process circuit 18, and the temperature of the object 1 can be obtained from the value of the ratio between the outputs. Thus the temperature of the object 1 can be measured with high sensitivity and high accuracy and with no contact.
