Abstract

PURPOSE: To widen the controlable flow rate range by providing a connecting pipe for supplying a part of the fluid to be controlled supplied to a pressure control valve from a pilot valve to the downstream side of the pressure control valve to substantially eliminate insensitive region of the valve opening characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: Chamber 7 of a valve driving chamber 8 of a pressure controller 1 always communicates with a downstream side pipe 2b by means of a connecting pipe 25. Accordingly, the valve opening characteristics of the pressure controlling valve 3 assumes a curve as illustrated. Even when the fluid pressure applied to the valve driving unit 8 through the pilot valve 4 is equal to or less than the minimum operating pressure P1 min. of the valve driving unit 8, the fluid is supplied into the downstream side pipe 2b. Therefore, the insensitive region, which is inherent to conventional pressure controllers, is completely eliminated and the hunting motion caused by the existence of the insensitive range also is surely eliminated. Thus the pressure controller 1 is capable of substantial pressure control even at an extremely low flow rate.
