Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the safety by providing a bag-shaped, freely shrinkable, oil- resistant resilient member in a container for X-ray tube thereby preventing the sequential fault when the X-ray tube bulb is broken. CONSTITUTION:When an X-ray tube bulb 4 is broken under overload and abnormally high temperature state and a portion of insulating oil is gasified to rise the pressure in a container 11 abnormally thus to rise inner air pressure of an oil-proof resilient member 13 abnormally, the force by said pressure onto a cover 14 becomes stronger than the force applied by a coil spring onto the cover to float the cover from the seat. Consequently the air in said member 13 is released through a hole 12A in a connection tube 12A and a through hole 16A in a stopper 16 to the exterior. Consequently even when the X-ray tube bulb is broken, only the air is exhausted from said 13 to reduce external volume of said member 13 thus prevents sequential fault.
