Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable one transmitter-receiver to transmit and receive acoustic waves differing in frequency, by stacking concentrically cylindrical vibrators which are equal in outer-diameter size and different in vibration mode. CONSTITUTION:The 1st cylindrical vibrators 1a-1d used for pulsating vibration and the 2nd cylindrical vibrators 2a-2d vibrating in mode of higher order are stacked with cushions 3a-3i, occluding vibration, interposed and then fixed to reflector 6 by shaft 4 and nut 5. Consequently, acoustic waves generated at the outer vibrator surface by the 1st and 2nd vibrations spread to reflector 6 and then reflected before being radiated from the opening surface of the reflector.
