Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the titled compsn. which has high surface hardness and is suited to impart anti-fog properties to the surface of glass, lens, etc., by a method wherein a substance having at least two polyoxyalkylene chains per molecule and a crosslinking agent are blended with a surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 10W85wt% of a substance (e.g. polyoxyalkylene sorbitol fatty ester) having at least two polyoxyalkylene chains per molecule and functional gp. such as carboxyl gp., hydroxyl gp. and amino gp. as crosslinking points and (B) 10W60wt% of a crosslinking agent having at least three functional gp. capable of reaction with the functional gp. in the (A) component (e.g. trimellitic acid, or hexamethoxy-methylol melamine), are blended with (C) 0.5W20wt% of a surfactant which does not react with the (B) component (e.g. sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate). The resulting compsn. is coated on the surface of glass or a synthetic resin molded article, dried and heated at a temp. of 50W200°C for 5minW6hr to cure the compsn and to obtain an article having hygroscopic anti-fogging resin coating with high surface hardness.
